Hey All,
I keep hearing reports of lots and lots of shaker halibut being caught in the Bay, which is great news for the future fishery. However, I'm afraid the fish will get hammered if there's a salmon shortage, so lets be sure to be gentle with our undersized fish. Please don't net them! A netted halibut can easily become a dead halibut if the net scrapes off scales or cuts the tail fin. We can't control what the party boats do, but conscientious kayak fishermen should know and do better!

Yeah, Small halibut should just be lifted into the boat or released boatside.  don't need to net them at that size.
