Does anyone know if it's okay to launch a kayak from Natural Bridges beach in Santa Cruz? I like to go fishing for lingcod and rockfish near there and it would be very convenient

Thanks! :smt003

Never done it, but I've heard that you can launch there.

I have launched from Mitchell's Cove (difficult to manage the stairs) and Four Mile Beach (fairly long haul to the water), so those are certainly options.
Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...

I once asked the gate people this same question.  They said no.  :smt013  As Nowhereman said, use Mitchell's Cove.  Its a nicer launch anyway. Natty is too "dumpy" and too crowded with attractive young coeds.  :smt007
