Thank you for noticing. There were quite a few lately. Perhaps a little revision to the rule is necessary.

This thread was good enough for a top to bottom reread...so many good laughs, and things i wish i could unsee.
For new members...this is exactly what this club is all about. There seems to be an enduring love for the torture the neophytes, especially during the winter  :smt044 Welcome to the Madness, criticism, good natured ribbing, and all of the other cultural elements of NCKA.

So glad there isn't real quality control for posts, looking at my own post history was painful. I would love to see many of my old ones get deleted so that the blight is removed from forum history  :smt005

There really are few rules here.  The major one is "No personal attacks".  Though it's sometimes hard to figure out when you guys are attacking vs. just fooling around.  The other rule that is usually not a problem is "No postings of a commercial nature".  And "No racial slurs" or the likes.  Other than that, have at it, you ASSHOLES!

Hello,
My name is Jonathan Ridley (screen name JRidley) and I am new to this forum and new to kayaking, angling, and freediving/spearfishing.  I have a 15 ft Malibu Kayak eXtreme and an Okuma Tundra 8 ft pole with stock reel. I am still outfitting the kayak with some essentials to make ocean-going safer: GPS, spare paddle, fish finder, visipole (light + flag),  replacing some broken eyelets, installing bungees, figuring out how to anchor the kayak if diving from it, etc. I. Looking forward to learning more about this rewarding sport and getting to know some of the members here.
Cheers!
