I have been wanting to get Hobie for awhile and today I finally got a chance to look at one one and take it for a little test drive. It was 2011 mirage revolution with turbo fins. I liked the pedals vs paddling and especially loved how I could cover so much water with so little effort. What I wasn’t crazy about was the seat and it just didn’t feel as stable and had a cramped feeling compared to my moken 14. I of course know that it is not going to be as stable or as roomy as the bigger and wider moken. I am sure I would get used to the feeling of the Hobie after spending some time on the water with it. Is $1,200 a good price for this kayak being a 2011? It was in great shape with hardly any scratches at all on the bottom or anywhere else.

When you look outside the window, and all you see is fishing. True Story.

The sweet spot is a Revo 13 and make sure the last two # of the serial specify the year. They have model in 11, 13, and 16.
This would be a good/fair price for the year and condition you mention. Would even be better if Revo 13 imo.

Yes that is the one.

It is a great deal if they will still give you the full warranty.

I never asked about the warranty. I assumed they wouldn’t with it being a used 2011 model. I am looking at a couple other I saw on Craigslist also. I think this is about the best deal because I probably won’t find a Hobie for a better price.

Yes that is the one.
Unless things change, the price will go up a bit after sales taxes. Without paying for the new prices this still is a good deal because they are well maintained by CCK and under warranty. They are probably just clearing out their rental fleet to bring in new ones.

So far I prefer the core workout but I don't know any different.  I am a paddler :smt006
