So.... I've been borrowing a kayak to fish for about a year now thanks to Andy Fishmaster1 and Jason Beef.  Adventures by the sea in Monterey has their annual used yak sale going on right now.  I went by on thursday to check them out, they had about 5 Prowler 13's and a half dozen Malibu XL2's plus another 15 miscellaneous kayaks for sale.  $200 for single's and $300 for tandems!!!  SO... I got me my first kayak a Prowler13 for $200 with a seat and a paddle.  I'm kind of a broke mo-fo so I am stoked on a deal like this.  I can't wait to see you on the salt.  Here is my new baby.  Nothing special to y'all but it is all I can think about right now. :smt003

Wow, what a deal!  I've had many kayaks, including two P13's. Most of them have been sold, but I keep my Prowlers. It's a great boat.

Congrats!
Al

$200.00 for something that will give you years of excitement & fun.   In some places you pay 200.00 for 10 minutes of fun.   :smt044  You got a deal.   If you need a starter rod & reel for the salt, I've got one for you.  Let me know.

Yes it was a great deal, how could anyone pass this up. Anyways, could you post a pic of your P13 setup? I'm dreaming of what I could do with it and would love some ideas.

Hells yeah Steve!
I'm stoked for you brother. And a Prowler 13 is a badass oldschool kayak that is probably under-appreciated in these times of big, fancy, overpriced yaks. I've owned a few and wish I still had one!
For starters, I'd install the flush-mount rod holders behind the seat, then a Scotty Rod holder in the center console. And maybe look into those new rail-mounts for the sides.
