Sadly our 2nd cat Shana has probably become somethings dinner, 2 night ago. About a year ago her sister Angle didn't come one night.  Shana never went far from our house, and never missed her meals!  Until 2 nights ago.  I walked my property but didn't find any evidence or remains.
Loosing our pet(s) this way, as sucky as it is, is much easier to handle than having them pass in our presence.
Yesterday, after wife found our next kitten online locally, I went and picked her up. We haven't named her yet, still waiting to see what ends up.
She's a little luv bug!  Hopefully our other cat ( Biskit, Just out of Kittenhood) won't take 6 months to warm up to her like Shana did to her. I don't think  it'll be that long as today they touched noses without any growling or puffed out tails.
We've had Coyote's, Mt. Loins, Bob cats, in my yard, haven't had the trail cam up for a few months as critter activity dwindled, my neighbor hood has had Fox's also, I recently learned (Or heard) they can climb trees. Can't say what may have got Shana, (Probably Coyote) but, we know the risk of letting them outside during the dark hours.
