Post by: Gecko on February 07, 2018, 11:58:48 AM
10 more days to get signed up. We will have guys from 4 different states, and its going to be a blast.  47 anglers currently signed up ready to battle,it out on lake camanche and with these nice warm temps the fish are transitioning so this ever should be a fun one to fish. Remember if you are not from northern California please contact Richard Wohlwend-Penny or my self to go over some details you must know before trying,to enter the lake. Also lake camanche is offering a buy 1 night get 1 night free for all of,our anglers. Feel free to reach out to my self or richard to learn how. See everyone on the 17th I will be in campsite 222 in the cottonwood campgrounds and can answer any last minute questions you might have. First place is walking away with over $1000 as we have hit our minimum angler numbers entry to fish is $75 and pays out 10% of the field. Oh and trolling is allowed with artificial lures for those who like to drag baits. Hope to see some more ncka guys interested in fishing with us this year!

Sign up on tourney x with the link I provide all photos are submitted through tourney x and judged offsite. Thanks - James

Sounds like a fun event, and you can troll. If I didn't already have plans I would be there. Is there another event like this happening with the same rules?

It took 87.5” to take the win.  Abel Patino posted up his second KBF Trail Event win this past weekend with a dominating finish!  Overall the bite was extremely tough and many folks (myself included) couldn’t put together a five fish limit on the tourney day.  Finesse presentations were the key for most folks.  Drop shot, shakey head, flick shake, senko, Ned rig, and small jig heads with 2.8” Keitech swimbaits seemed to be popular choices for folks that were able to put fish in the boats.

I had fun, but had a very, very, very small bag! Like, zero fish. Lost 3. I did catch 2 trout drop shotting. Worst time fishing I have ever had for 3 days in a row.

Overall it is a great group of guys and gals. Everyone needs to come out to the next one.
