Yo Z, Polepole, et al.
I may be headed to a family reunion in Seattle first week of August. The venue is on Beach Drive near Tracy Owen Station Park in the Northern tip of Lake Washington. Anyone familiar with the area? Care to opine on the fishing possibilities in the area during that time of year?

While I'm sure polepole and Z will probably see this and have a decent answer for you. You might be able to reach a broader audience of informed Seattle kayak anglers for your question if you try posting this on Polepole's NWKA site.

Mixed bag in Lake WA ... right off that area is shallow and weedy that time of year. Bass should be in the weeds out to the edge. Yellow perch at the edge of the weeds. Trout (rainbow and cutts) further offshore. However, early August is prime king salmon season on Puget Sound. We should be able to get you out on Puget Sound to target them somewhere, depending on what marine areas are open at that time.

We've got extra yaks Yak. Like Pole said, the sound is right around the corner and has good salmon runs that time of year. Come on down and we'll get you on some fish. :smt023

PS. Landed this cutty last weekend on Lake Washington.
