for the price point it will deter some people from buying a PA

I pedaled one last week. Easy on the knees. Smooth operation of the rudder. Heavy like all the other battleships.
-
I wonder what safety features the pedal drive has if it runs aground or hits a hard object.
-
Is that AAOk lurking in tha background at the 1:40 Mark.

With it being locked in I doubt it. Before anyone says I am bashing, Wildy is the same, locked in.

seatbelt? :smt005
i've ran my hobie aground going at a good speed at SLR. i got thrown a bit forward on impact, but the mirage rods absorbed the force. they got bent pretty good, but it helped that the fins moved up to the hull (shallow water position).

According to a video I saw a few days ago, the locking mechanism at the rear of the drive is designed to break off in a collision to protect the drive.
