a cart for an outback

I'm looking for recommendations for a cart... I just bought an outback and don't really have another  $200 for a wheeleez so I have been looking on Amazon but I'm afraid to buy one that might not work. I have seen damage from the thru scupper carts and definitely don't want to go that route... any one have some advice it would be greatly appreciated 

What kind of damage? I’ve used the Hobie scupper cart on my Hobie kayaks for years (Revo, Outback, ProAngler12.).

I was fishing in Trinidad last year and another guy took on water through rubs in the scupper from his cart... I don't know if he had to much weight or did something else wrong but it was something I wish to avoid..
 although soon either inspection I found my outback has sleeves to help prevent that

You can buy the wheeleez separately from the website. some fasteners and pvc or EMT conduit covered with pipe insulation or a pool noodle and you can DIY a pretty decent one.  Just don't run them through the scuppers. 

Or you can just buy a beach cart.  I think $200 is a pretty good price, isn't it?

When I first got a Hobie, I thought it was insane to spend $200 more on a cart. So I tried a few DIY things, none of which worked. Wheeleez (or equivalent) is pretty much an essential item, IMHO.

thanks for the input guys it looks like I'm just gonna hold off until I can get the wheelez

I use the C-tug kart for my revo so I dont have to tip it over on its side to get the cart pegs in the scuppers

+1. I’m still using the same wheelez I bought back in 2010. Did my research and followed everyone’s advice. No regrets here.

I got a C-Tug with sand wheels but not an outback works great on a Jackson Big Tuna, Native Mariner and Slayer though, breaks don and fits in the Tuna hatch or the Mariner hatch, no hull access on the Slayer  hatch

+1 for the C-tug.
Use it with my Stealth. Super easy to put together and load your kayak. Sort of understand the scupper concern but perhaps only when it was fully loaded with gear but it wasn't a big issue. (I could see the plastic bend ever so slightly) I haven't towed my yak across a good stretch of sand with the c-tug yet. I think the hobie cart would might out perform the c-tug in this regard. Who knows. Next time I see someone, I may pull up along side and compare.

Malone makes some that are cheaper if cost is an issue but I've never personally used one.
