the russian river fly fishers have a casting pond in bennet valley at the golf course park area, if you want , i bet we could get a few peeps to together for a casting practice and chill, cameron

What line is on your rod?   That will determine what you can fish for in certain locations.

If you have a T14 head then I recommend heading to O'Neil Forebay for stripers.

Putah Creek would be a good choice from Santa Rosa.

Not sure on the regs and open time.
We have really good fly fishing on the American River here in Sac. If you ever wanna come out I can show u some spots.
Steelies now thru March. Then Shad and stripers.
