As I mentioned in another post, the Lowrance Scupper Transducer mount did not fit well in the transducer well of my new T-15. I wanted to use my Mark 4 with GPS so I began to modify. I started by modifying the Scupper mount. I figured I would start with the cheapest part, right?
I cut off the mounting bracket and filed it flat;

Then I used scissors and cut the hard rubber disc to fit flat on the transducer:

Then the scary part. I cut the mounting arm off the transducer and filed back as far as I felt comfortable: i found a sharp blade did the best job job shaping the hard plastic

I gooped the hard bracket and disc to the transducer and let it set level overnight.

The transducer now sits fully within the well.
Rest of the install went by the book. I like the look of the hobie thru-hull.

I used rivets and a bit of goop for the mounting bracket.

And the finder folds down flat to allow the shield to close with FF in place

Nice job!  It looks like a very clean install.  Now if I could only do something like that with mine.

clean work...do you have any pictures farther back showing the yak with the FF  flipped up ...give me an idea of seat to FF and ankle room etc...
We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”

I will take some. I also thought I had a pic of the transducer in the well, I'll post tomorrow.

I did a similar job to mine. I drilled a hole in the top of the Trans after cutting off the mount. I threaded a rod into it and attached it to the scupper mount system. Mine is recessed just enuf to not drag now. Works great. So, some form of cutting off the mount from the transducer is the way to go.

Here's a pic of the Ff and seat area from behind as requested
.

Also a pic of the transducer now safely within the well.

That's a clean job.

I'm installing a FF also, on a Cuda. Has anyone ever placed a scupper mount transducer in the scupper under the seat, to keep it out of the way?  I was thinking about that location for my install. Thoughts?

The new Elite 4 HDI won't tuck up far enough to use the scupper holes.  All this stuff and it's back to the drawing board.
Frustrated!!! :smt013
