For Sale / SOLD—Hobie pro angler 12 2018 with extras, Fairfield
« on: January 11, 2018, 01:19:42 PM »
SOLD—-
No longer avaliable,

Selling a 2018 hobie pro angler 12, this has the newest version of the drive and graphics. This drive has the improved more durable pull cables and the updated pedal arms with adjustment now from the top of the arm near the pedals.
This kayak has only been used around 6 times. I quickly realized my bum hip doesn’t agree with the back and forth pedal motion. I’ve went back to a kayak with a circular pedal motion.
I paid around $3,800 for everything included in sale after taxes.
 Asking $3000 for everything listed.

2018 pro angler 12
H rail tackle bin
2 H rail 1.5” ram ball mounts
H rail mighty mount
Hobie anchor trolley installed
Hobie drive leash
2 Hobie steering wheel knobs
Hobie square hatch tackle bin
Hobie cup holder
2 Hobie vertical rod holders
Hobie 250cm carbon handle paddle
2 3600 size tackle boxes
Hobie fish finder battery mount installed.

Pm me for a phone number or if you have questions.

Hobie Kayaks / Paddling a hobie angler pro?
« on: July 11, 2017, 10:01:40 AM »
Hey NorCal anglers,
I'm looking at a 2017 hobie angler pro as a possible purchase.
I'm wondering how it paddles? I know it's designed around the peddles, so it's not going to be the best paddle yak.
I ask because I have a hip issue that comes and goes. I will peddle most the time, but on occasion I may have to paddle.
How's the paddling compare to a trident 13? I'm thinking it's going to be probably only 1/10 times or less I may have to paddle.
 Thanks for any input.

I would like to sell it all together if possible.

I'm asking for $750 for everything pictured. I paid around $400 for the paddles alone. Great little kayaks that I just don't use any more.

Pm me for any questions.

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / OK trident 13, to rudder or not to rudder?
« on: January 29, 2010, 03:34:58 PM »
I've had my T13 with out a rudder for close to 2 years now. Im wondering if the rudder is an upgrade worth buying? Does the rudder make a big diffrence with tracking? Is the install of the rudder easy for a pretty handy guy?
   Thanks for any advice.

Cheap to a good home. I'm selling a set of 2 Penn 320 Gt2 reels spooled with 300 yrds 65lb braid, mounted to Penn Sabre G270 7' medium action 15-30lb rated rods(very similar action to Seeker 270 rods). These were used as extras for the boat and have only been used a handfull of times. Reels are less than a year old. Reels are in good working order. One of the rods is missing the 2nd eye from the reel, but still works fine.  Asking $120 for the set of 2 rods and reels.  I got to much gear and these are collecting dust when they should be catching fish! I'm near Benica, ca. Shoot me a PM if interested.

I know this should be a kayak report, but I'm a wimp when it comes to kayaking in the cold, so I headed out in the power boat. 2nd trip to ozol and my 2nd legal fish to the boat. Measured up at 62" caught on uncured roe with no scents. Bites are still very lite, with lots of marks but few takers. I havn't kept a sturgeon in over 3 years, so I decided to invite this one home for dinner!

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Big fish and kayak safety?
« on: January 05, 2009, 11:43:58 AM »
When targeting big fish(sturgeon) from a kayak what # line are you guys using. I use 65# braid from a boat and it's hard to break this line. I'm guessing you would have to cut it if your in a kayak and had to break free. My concern would be if I hooked a big fish from the yak and got sideways and in danger of being pulled over or had to snap him off in a hurry from being tangled in the line or something like that. Whats a good # line that would hold the fish but allow me to snap the line quick if I had to? I'm thinking 20-25# mono with a long wire leader for a sturgeon/kayak set-up?
