The dawn of Spring is almost upon us! Although we have all been beaten and weathered by storms, some braving the conditions for a quick fix, but finally months of waiting out the cold are almost at an end.  Regardless of the changes to many of our fisheries regulations and seasons we are almost to the best part of the year and it only gets better each day from here on out.  So much to look forward too  :smt004

Ugh, so tired of the rain and wind!  I am taking some PTO during spring break to spend with the kiddos - hoping weather mellows out and halibut starts picking up by then!

this winter has been good practice for when I move to the state of Washington

What part of WA?  I lived in Seattle (Capitol Hill) 2003-2007 and Westport 2007-2009.  Seattle was getting about 40 inches of rain a year then, and Westport was across the harbor from the only temperate rainforest in CONUS - about 110-inches a year.  Beautiful place, and so much stuff to do!  The rain just becomes a part of life, because it happens often.  More grey days than here for sure, but it doesn't often rain in torrents like it does here, so it isn't quite as obstructive as it is here.  My parents lived in Yakima for a few years too - very dry and rugged.

Damn mother nature throwing me a curvball yet again.  It's March, but I woke up to freezing temps like it was January again.  Anyway, trying to focus that good energy into positivity and even though tomorrow may be bringing yet another storm our way.  This weekend I am going to force myself to wet a line whatever the cost maybe.  Don't care if I get a bite, I need that OTW therapy session as soon as possible  :smt004.
