I just ordered the plans and manual for the CLC upside down boat looking teardrop. I expect it will take me the better part of a year but it should be ready for action for 2018.

Those are awesome looking TD's but probably well out of my ability range.

I have an appt with the dmv on Tuesday to get my trailer registered, then I can start on my TD build.  I'm looking at building a semi basic benroy shape with no back hatch.

Did you remove the skins and pull the sides off?  Scab in a new piece?

Who did you go with on the doors and at what price?  Mine will be a solo sleeper at 4x8 so thankfully I can get away with having to only purchase one.

Bought the doors from frank bear at vintage technologies. There aren't many options for retailers on teardrop parts. They cost $765 shipped for two doors. Pricey but worth it in the end. For molding latches and windows I spent about $300+ when I built my doors and I was never happy with them.
Not sure what you are asking with the skins? The doors I bought are oversized so I used a router to fit the new cutout and mounted the new frame
