Does anyone own a Kraken 15.5 Pro?  Looking to purchase a Kraken 15.5 don't know if it is worth purchasing the pro model or not? Thoughts?

the pro, is just a fully loaded version of the 15.5, basically you don't need to buy everything separate, it is ready to fish straight of the shelf, some people prefer this, do to the fact that it is all done for them, but if you are more interested in customizing it yourself, and adding different electronics, comes with ray marine dragonfly, but some prefer lowrance, HB etc, rigging etc then i would go with the standard 15.5. i love my kraken, it is a heavy beast, but once in the water, it is a pleasure to paddle. have fished it in some gnarly ass conditions off shore here in nor-cal to chasing bait balls miles off shore in southern baja to windy ass days on larger lakes and it has just performed outstanding in them all. one thing i would suggest is, with a boat of this length, a rudder is not a must, but definitely a very very good idea. i never had a rudder boat before, but once i put one on the kraken, i fell even more in love with the boat. hope this helps, and any other questions you have you can PM me, cameron

Thanks for the info. I demoed a few boats and ultimately decided the Kraken was the boat for me. I really like how it handled and is a huge upgrade from my current kayaks where I have DIY them to be setup for fishing. I am just debating whether it is worth spending the extra money or building it from the ground up.  I have not paddled one with a rudder but based on sheer size I was going to put a rudder on it.  I tend to error on the side of go big and be prepared JIC and since I am a newbie to the ocean kayak side of this I rather be prepared. Thanks for all the info, hope to see you on the water soon .
