We have my family visiting from Hawaii and I said I'd make them ceviche this week so I decided to "go to the store" last night for some fish.
Brian aka b.Donham83 and I hopped in the water after I got off work yesterday and went for a long surface swim in a pretty strong current. It was strange, the water in the shallows (5-15ft) was super clear and then it dropped to about 10' vis after that. It was a great evening to dive with really low swell and lots of fish to choose from.

We did get buzzed by a sea lion once, but he was uninterested and left us alone thankfully. However, there was a malicious little black and yellow that attacked my gun when I playfully pointed it at it. That was a first for me. Never had a rock fish charge and bite haha. Savage.  :smt004

The very first drop when we got to deeper water produced a nice cab! Ended up getting 7 fish total.

We dove till after dark and we had a great overall time! Can't wait to get back out there. GoPro footage to come.

And just because it's hilarious, check out what this Hawaiian did when he forgot his dive flag

It's fun while you do it, but late night gear cleaning/fish cleaning and waking up for work the next morning is a bit rough =P
