Had a blast catching stripers at the Yakhopper event and wanted to explore that area a little more.

A few of us will be launching from Turner Cut this Sunday at 6:30.  Will be targeting stripers and some largemouth.  Company is always welcome.

I'll be in Disco bay that day.  Hopefully they have moved in to Disco by now.  Good luck on your side.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Are the stripers pretty thick down there? I was thinking of putting in at Wimpy's but if there is better action at Turner, I'll be there!

Thanks Scott.  I have heard that the bite is good at disco bay.  Lots of shakers, but some 6-12lb fish in the mix.  Good luck.

Heard of Wimpy's, but don't know much about that area.  When I was at Turner Cut for the Yakhopper event few weekends ago, caught plenty of fish, but only 4 legals.  Lots of shakers, but that seems to be the story in a lot of areas.  There were plenty of keepers caught that day though.  I'm thinking that with the cooler weather since then, hopefully the bite would have gotten better.  Feel free to join us!

I may just so that. Are you guys using artificial baits or live for the stripers?

Artificial.  Topwater lures in the early morning and then trolling (crankbaits, a-rig, swimbait) when the sun is up.  That has been my approach lately.  Trolling isn't necessary, but its a good way to find the active fish and catch a lot of fish throughout the day.

They are moving in and out of Disco. The bait moves in, the terns and the fish wipe the bait out and it goes quiet for a couple of days.

There are 30 minute load/unload parking right by the launch ramp.  If you go down the ramp, you will see a sign on the left that says Turner Cut Resort launch ramp or something like that.  Then you need to drive down to where the campground is and park your car down there, you will see roads leading down on both sides of the office.

I believe there is a $10 parking & launch fee but if they are not open when you get there, then you need to pay them when you get back.

I plan on launching around 6-6:30.  Hope you can join us.

Why not launch at tiki? Better parking closer to the launch and within 400 yards of turners.
