Hey folks,

Im new to the sport and I pick my Cuda 12 up next week!

I will be fishing mostly lakes and eventually the SAC river (Redding area). What in your opinion are the "must haves" for rigging a new boat? Thanks in advance.

All depends on what you want to fish for and where you want to fish
First things first get a good comfortable kayak fishing pfd and wear it it does you no good if you don't wear it
I fish mainly for black bass and some things that I have found to be a necessity are an anchor with anchor trolly and some sort of gear management system like a milk crate black-pak or j-krate for example
I had Dan at headwaters in lodi do a stand assist bar install on my Kilroy and that makes getting up and down seriously easier and is nice to have if you plan to be standing a lot
Really it's all about what you like over time you will find what works for you and what doesn't
Tight lines
-Jason
