I started this book about 10+ years ago, but only got as far as Chapter 1 "Introduction"; and that was after completing "Spinning Rods for Morons" and "Conventional Reels for Idiots".
So, with all this buzz about Surf Perch, i thought id dig out the old fly gear and give it another go, before it goes up on in the Classified section..(btw: dibs was already called :smt009)
First, i will need some advice and direction on what other essential gear, line, tackle and flies to get....
Then, and most importantly, someone to teach me how to cast this dam rod far enough to catch dem perchies! And maybe a passing striper....

Surf is a tough place to start fly fishing. Much easier off the yak in the ocean.

perfect for Steelhead! I have the Bauer M3 with the older style frame just like that and a Gl3 fly rod I have been using for years. It has put the hurt on many a Steelhead and Salmon! great Shad rod Also!!!
