That's what the drag is for. Let it spool ya if necessary.
And someone should be ready to follow the fish with the boat if one that hot is hooked.
That right there is a great advantage to having a kayak over a boat.
Imagine the ride (drag) the kayak would have provided over that anchor of a boat.
I know that brief battle will play over in that guys head for years and years to come.

Awesome...I want one. I need a larger and higher quality spinning rod/reel for Baja to shoot for sails/marlin/dorado. I should have one for this summer trip to the east cape. Ron
