Talked to at least ten different people and three shorts was the best I heard about until now, what areas were you fishing RBark?

I lost about twenty baits many had the flesh stripped from the bones. Almost got skunked but ended up catching a new species from the kayak....was quite the battle but was pretty sure it wasn't the target fish right from the start.

I went out today at 9am.  Landed 3 shorts (one close about 20"..so close yet so far sigh).  2 on popsicles one on lucky craft.

Don't know where you all are fishing to be hooking up with so many.  I went straight out from the ramp 1-2mi to that deeper area.

There’s a place where the water goes from 10’ to 30’. I was fishing a small channel there.

Tsuri... I think I talked with you out on the bay today and saw you pulling up that bat ray. I had on a bright orange long sleeve shirt and was in a Camo Malibu X13.  I caught three shakers this morning... one early trolling a frozen anchovy. The other two were trolling a lucky craft minnow. I don't have a ton of experience trolling lures, but the strikes seemed bigger than with bait. I trolled my lucky craft behind a dodger, but was wondering if I would get better results without the dodger as the lure has its own action designed into it. I did hook up on something that seemed bigger with the lucky craft but unfortunately it will remain a mystery as it came off before I got to see it. Good day even with no keepers. First  three halibut from the kayak!

Lot of shakers yesterday, landed 6 lost 1 close to the yak. 2 were at 21".  Got them on a spin n glo setup with tray anchovies.  On the water at 6:30, off by 11.  Was in the blue revo with sidekicks.

On the water by 8:30 off around 2:30-

Beautiful weather- light breeze, good current - sometimes too fast.

Landed maybe ten shorts, a big leopard and a few seven gill pups. A few strong takedowns, but no stick. No keepers.

Brought my daughter out for her first time with her brother and she had a blast.

Saw Lucky13 and met a few others for the first time-

All in all a great time on the water, buying time till the salmon bite heats up.

Hey TH, was nice talking to you! :smt006

Gotta get me one of those Lucky Craft lures and bright orange shirts, honestly I could see where you where all day and at one point I was over a mile away.

Was in the blue revo with sidekicks

Was fishing near you at the outer channel for awhile also FishOnJon and got to meet Lucky 13 as well, nice to meet some new folks out there! Never did find Alameda guess he must have been mostly out past the second wall?
