So I am new to the whole California fishing! I moved from florida just a year ago to Lake County. I mainly was a Shore fisherman, tho I was just gifted an older Ocean Kayak Trident 13.

I am a veteran of the US Army, and work in Mendocino County.

Look forward to gaining local knowledge, gaining a few friends, and eventually a few tournaments.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the group.

I mostly dive but can offer up some on the water advice if you decide to go out on the ocean.

Go through all the posts about safety equipment and needed gear and then ask if you still have questions.

A kayak and Clear Lake is about as good as it gets. Start at Rodman Slough and go from there.
