I'm all for camping and pre fishing. Yes I can bring down the Ride if needed. For the camping, if we need firewood, I have tons. Literally. Also, if needed I can bring my ski boat. Not necessarily for skiing.

I remember Del Valle restricting brought-in firewood to the store-bought kind. You might want to double check before you bring in a load, Rob.

Ditto, wish I could help the effort.  I'm happy to lend an OK Caper if you think that'll help your boat count.  If EWB has space and don't mind, he can haul it up and back.

We brought our own wood in the last time we were there. What's changed?

I will be there and will bring a P15, paddle, PFD, rod, reel and lures. I will be paddling my tandem with Molly and can guide OTW, cook, or do whatever is needed. First week in October can be tough fishing at DV but since the summer has been cool maybe the turnover will happen earlier.

Maybe the rules have been relaxed. In the past, there was a concern because of oak trees dying due to a moth (?) infestation.

It was the 2007 fish'n'chill where we got soaked on Friday but dried out on Saturday and Sunday.

Thanks Scott...

Keep tuned on the need for extra yaks and thanks....

This date was best bet for the Vet Agencies to participate and we can only hope for the best on weather and fishing conditions...

I " should " be speaking with the EBRP Officials soon and will ask about the wood thing...

If you don't need my P15, that would be great since it might be hard to pass inspection.

It is my hope that all volunteers will just need to bring their own personal yaks for their own use...

all extra yaks and pfds, etc... will be provided by Sunrise Mountain Sports....

problem... their having a used kayak sale on the 17th, most likely all their best yaks will be gone...

The other problem with using their fleet of rentals is;

              no rod holders....   :smt009

I will be checking the fleet after their sale to see if we need to bring some fishing yaks to complement the fleet for the more serious Veteran Anglers...

We will still need extra fishing poles and fishing gear...

I have around 20 now, but we will need more at this event...   :smt004

crappie, bluegill, bass, stripers, catfish, trout and the very rare kokanee salmon (2 or 3 a year)

they supposedly just started planting trout, so those guys might start biting by the time we get there.  i think after this weekend's FnC at DV we might find out more about what is biting.
