For me, these rods were the story of the ICAST show. Meeting Jim Dolan, HOW's national director, was a real treat. The man is dedicated, and his passion to help veterans inspires others to pitch in.

That's how the HOW rods came into being. Jim talked with Temple Fork Outfitters, a Texas rod manufacturer known mostly for fairly priced fly fishing tackle.

TFO's Rick Pope asked Gary Loomis to design the rod with input from a couple of well known kayak fishing pros, and the rest is history.

I hope these rods sell by the thousand. TFO is donating their piece of the proceeds to HOW.

Note that we're talking Gary Loomis the person, not G.Loomis the company. They are different.

Here's TFO: www.templeforkflyrods.com/

Would anyone know if these HOW kayak rods are available? I've been searching everywhere, but do not know where to place an order or whether it's too late :T

Every search has led me to articles about the rod, even cannot find it on the TempleFork site. I'd like to support the cause by purchasing a rod. Appreciate the help brothers! :D

You can order from one of the TFO authorized dealers.  Enter the state and zip code for a closest one from you:
