I think there will be divable territory in and around the cove, but you would still want a kayak to get to it. If you don't bring a yak your options will be a lot more limited.

There is kelp to clip off to, but sometimes an anchor does help in bigger swell...but a ton of guys just use kelp clips year round over there.

Conditions are meant to be a little worse on Saturday, but you can see how it is really not that rough outside of that big island? There is a ton of good structure over there that is almost always diveable. But you want a kayak to paddle out there.
