Got great news today!

I sent an email to my buddy Robert Okumoto who is a cancer fighter and didn't hear back for awhile and was getting worried... 

But today he wrote back, and he and his brother Jim will be joining us on 2/23 at SWS.

 

Robert says that neither he nor Jim feel strong enough to dive, because of Robert's cancer and Jim's ailing back, but will hang out, fish off the pier and chill.

I told him they should bring their dive gear down just in case. 

Robert and Jim are the guys I first went ab diving with, was diving with Jim when I shot my first monkey, and they have met several NCKA members over the past few years inclding bloodbath, Fishmaster1 and family, cnew83, porky, DaveW and Sledge.

Very glad they will be joining us to meet more NCKA guys.

Well...conditions are probably gonna be less than favorable:

Saturday: Variable winds 5 kt or less. A slight chance of showers. Mixed swell...WNW 9 ft and SW 1 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.

But, we will still be there and I have no doubt that anybody who shows up will still have fun. 

Remember, if you can't make it you will have to live with whatever prize I pick out for you when your turn comes up in the prize raffle...so much better to be there if you can.

Ernest, I'm bummed you can't dive but the conditions are gonna be marginal anyway.

When you are better call me up and I'll do my very best to put you on some nice fish in shallow.

In case the hedgerow parking is full or closed on Saturday...here's a little map to help out with finding the additional free guest parking at the Spa and Tennis Courts....and a close up one of the Spa and Tennis Courts as well.

It's only a .26 mile walk from the spa parking back down to where the hedgerow parking is. It's paved, flat and easy.  :  )

You can see how big the lots are at Spa and tennis courts. :  )

The spots next to the pier/stairs/bathrooms are for members of pebble beach, not for kayakers/divers/guests.  Unload your gear there, move your car, and just walk on back. No biggie.  :  )
