Hope I'm doing this right but I'm new to the site so here goes....
I've got a Kiwi Angler that I bought 10+ years ago.  I do a lot of lake fishing on it and since put an electric trolling motor on the stern.  It pushes it along pretty well and when it gets windy, it's a great way to get back.  The question is this, has anyone in the group used the Kiwi in the ocean?  I'm tempted to take it to Doran to see how well it works but I'd like to chat with someone who has done it.  Yes, I plan to have all the safety equipment with me.  It's very stable but I'm a bit concerned how it'll handle on the big water!!
Any comments would be most appreciated.

thanks,

bob

Never seen a kiwi angler, but I used to fish the ocean in an 11' OK Caper.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

I have one too... We lovingly call it the Yakasauras :smt044 It's a tank in current but did well for my at Doran. I don't think I would go to far out. Taking a 1ft wave broad side was NOT fun. Came right up the slanted side  and pushed down on that side sliding me with the wave. Didn't tip but was goofy as hell to nose into waves. Otherwise was a great crab/fishing platform :smt007

Thanks all.  Yeah, I'm a bit concerned about its width and how it'd take a broadside wave.  Maybe a new kayak might be in the stars!

thanks again,

bob
