I noticed that your company sells the Cobra Fish n' Dive and the Tourer.
Any thoughts on these kayaks (campared to the Malibu brands) ? Just curious......

Joel:

Like everything there are pros and cons.  Both are fishing and diving friendly brands.  Big hatches, lots of storage, etc.

The Cobras are definitely lighter, and they have some really sleek boats like the Tourer and the Expedition that MK doesnt offer.  Cobra also has a really cool little fishing yak that is only $400, MK doesn't have anything like it.

MK has the best layouts in the business.  The x-Factor is a GREAT all- arounder that I am really starting to love.  MK are also really dry compared to other yaks. MK has the best boats for big guys.  The eXtreme
is easily the fastest big man yak around.

Together the two brands really compliment each other, and I am hoping it will give us a better assortment as we bring other models online.

Specifically, MK currently doesn't have anything as fast as the Tourer, but the x-Factor is generally a much faster, and more refined version of the FND.

Thanks for the info. Sean - I maybe looking into getting a second kayak (to take out friends with - or rather...convert others to our sport).   :smt023
