Oh I was probably on the water for around thirty minutes alll weekend. :smt009...The chilling was great. Until next time......Andy :smt009

Thanks everyone for the posts. It's been awhile since I've been out but I always enjoy reading about those who are able to. Great hookup this weekend with a bunch of yeahoos :smt003 that I enjoy fishing and spending time with. Both Jacob and Joel made it to the Central Coast Section (CCS) Wrestling Championships which we attended this weekend. Now that wrestling is over it's time to tune up the yak and get in some paddle time :smt002

Andy, hope your elbow is going to be OK. I should have warned you that "Mooch" is one bad ass :smt044. But, he's loved in our family  :smt003

It was cool hanging out with the Forebay Crew. Some highlights of my weekend in addition to the great company, food, etc....

- Nasty Wind
- FishMaster1 vs. Mooch MMA style sparring
- I broke Andy's Chair - I owe you a chair Andy. Will give you a new one on the next outing

Here's some pics.

I wouldn't go so far as to call a lingcod filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a lingcod's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I had a great time out there. Thanks for hooking up the group site Bill. We missed you  :smt010 OK, Mooch missed you the most. He kept wandering around the camp, looking for his little spoon, but Andy filled in admirably.
Too bad it was so dang windy on Sat. It was blowing 20-30kts and the warning beacon was flashing red all day. Thankfully it didn't rain though. And the accommodations were incredibly nice! The group site had 4-5 permanent structures w/tables & BBQ & firepit and the lawn was perfectly manicured all the way to the water's edge. Mooch I shoulda brought a soccer ball to teach you how to play futbol! Because that grass was plush! And flush toilets, quarter showers, paved walkways, an amphitheater/rotunda...we should definitely consider this spot for future functions.

Ben- That's not as nearly as bad as what Andy did to Mooch at the campfire.  Andy drew first blood.  Hehehe.  It was quite funny after the fact.

Here are a few more pictures...

They were starting breakfast when we got there at 10:30 am!

Just chillin...

It looks really nice out there, but what you cant see is that it was so windy!

I showed up Friday and was introduced to the gang. Thanks, guys you really made me feel welcomed.  Andy gave me a ton of tips and locations to try.  Saturday turned out to be a little breezy, I headed north and wasn't able to get a bite.  On Sunday, I headed south and was able to land two stripers and had another two hits.

Sunday sunrise.

Small but my first striper.

A little larger one.

Again thanks, I'm looking forward to fishing with everyone again.  If anyone is out my way (Reno) look me up and I'll be happy to show you some of the lakes in my area.  I'll be fishing both Tahoe and Pyramid for the next few months.

Pete

The Medieros camp site has no trees -  that was the site we were originally gonna use. Pat / Sin Coast did some scouting and found the better one. I personally never knew it even existed.

Great find Pat :smt045

I see beepstik!

Did Mooch get a haircut???

A busted shin at Sonoma, and a fat lip at the Forebay...  what's next???

Nice pics, Joel.

Thanks for sharing with those of us who were otherwise occupied.

I would have loved to try some of that fried striper.
