Shuland had an amazing Burmese fish head soup at Albion on Sunday morning and didn't think to ask for the recipe. Does anyone have a good fish head soup recipe they are willing to share? I have a cab head and trimmings and want to try my hand at making it taste good.

Did you try the other fish head soup on Friday night? I made that from tamarind.
We call it sinigang (si-ni-gang)!

The easiest and fastest is to find/buy one of these at almost any Asian grocery, recipe is in the back. Almost any brand works.

Just add spinach, tomatoes, onions and of course, fish head/meat.

Make sure your camping box always has at least one packet of Sinigang mix. You can make sinigang with your fresh catch or pork ribs!

I don't put ginger and salt in my sinigang, just patis (aka fish sauce). Sssshhhhh.... the fish sauce is the secret here.... :smt081
If you want it a little spicy, a few jalapeno or any spicy chili is delicious, too.
Str8FishiN is right, always have a few packets in your camping box, in my case, I have a few packets in my truck.
