Title: Raising the bar!
Post by: BigJim on September 15, 2014, 12:38:51 PM: This weekend IceColdChuck got enough upgrade points to push his DOTY score to 3117.125, and record the highest DOTY score so far!

The second highest was fuzz' score of 3104.25 in DOTY's first year in 2012, which also included 150 points from a calico bass (no longer included in DOTY):

It is worth mentioning that fuzz is notorious for not entering a LOT of fish that he shoots, but regardless, passing ANY mark set by fuzz is a HUGE accomplishment in my opinion! :smt007

Charlie has been having a GREAT year and has managed to get 7 two hundred point fish so far...the only other player to get 7 two hundred point fish in one year is Sean Otter...and that is this year as well!

Congrats Charlie for raising the DOTY bar, exploring new areas, targeting new species, and for getting out there and pushing your personal limits...and all with a pole spear!!

All his DOTY entries have been with a pole spear...he did have to take a second shot on a Ling with a gun earlier this year, but then found a bigger one and nailed it with his pole spear.

Tote, never say never, if you believe you can learn to dive 90-100' and hunt big fish and you work at it, you absolutely can. I'm not going to say who, but I know of a serious competitor on DOTY who was born with a collapsed lung and severe asthma. I personally find that fact inspirational but I don't think he wants me making that information known.

Hint: His initials are Adam Suave.

As a middle-of-the-pack competitor, though, I have to commend all you guys at the top of the leaderboard for giving me something to aspire toward!
