got back from puerto vallarta on tuesday, then headed out of thursday and had a nice local trip with tom mattusch and mike cabanas aboard the hulicat out of half moon bay this last thursday.  it was a rockfish and crab combo.  the weather was predicted to be rough, even had a guy bail because of the weather reports. turned out to be a beautiful day. fishing was slow for me. i used whole squid on a single hook rig. was finally rewarded with ling that tied for the jackpot.
