OK, OK, I know it's not likely that any of you will be joining me, but I'm excited anyways. My family (b-day) gifted me a trip on a halibut charter (Sun 5/15) out of Neah Bay, which is on the extreme NW corner of the state (and lower 48). The boat will actually be fishing Canadian waters (longer season and a 2 fish limit). A pain to cross the border for the license, but hopefully worth it. Avg. weights are around 45#, with good potential for fish in the 50-100# range.

Adding to my pleasure is that I have my Pygmy boat almost complete, and I will be taking it to test and evaluate. I plan on scouting some remote launch sites Sat. afternoon and Mon. morning before I return to the Methow. (An ~8 hour trip?) Here's a link showing one of the areas I plan to check out-http://www.aaroncgilbert.com/hobuckflattery.html

No digicam, yet, but I have a fresh waterproof disposible and a scanner. Report to follow.

Go gettem Pisco.  I won't be in WA that weekend otherwise I'd seriously think about joining you.  I'm also curious about your new Pygmy boat.  I've been keeping an eye open for a classic wooden rowing/sailing skiff.

How are the trout lakes doing up in your neck of the woods?
