I'll be heading out to South Lake Tahoe this weekend. Was wondering if anyone has any tips. I have never set foot on lake tahoe shores. So I have no idea how to fish it.

Any help would be much appreciated...thanks in advance.

You need to contact Zilla. He is the yeti KING of Tahoe.
Otherwise toss a minnow trap into the rocks near shore with some dog food in it. Get your bait, hook them thru the nose and drop 'em down using a sliding egg sinker.

If you have any questions on where to fish, go to the Longs Drug Store and see the guy in the sporting good department. He is there only some of the time, but he does have a lot of information. Also, go to the Sportsmans Place, on Hwy 50 across from the fitness center and talk to them. Also can see the big ones that have been caught. (They are kept in the freezer) If all else fails, go out to Wills Hole (out abour 1/4 mile from Camp Richardson) in about 120 to 160 feet. Hope this helps  :smt003

fishing has been slow!!!!! tons of bait.warm water,72 degree surface temp. you might have some luck for macks deep and early.Fished with jdyak, walurus and  tony last weekend. Covered tons of ground, threw everything at them. A few lost fish. walurus landed one nice rainbow, jdyak lost a nice fish and I got a dink. if you were to come to Tahoe just to fish I would say wait till fall. The back lakes might be all right. Buckeye Bay on Bridgeport Res. has been good.
