I scratched my delta plans and decided to hit something local. So I headed out to the Stani to entice some afternoon largeouth and to test out my new fishfinder on my yak. Launched a little after 3pm to very low water. About a foot deep in most places. So I cruised around watching the hundreds of carp and suckers swimming everywhere. Found some water deeper and slow moving, saw tons of small bass and blue gill. For my two hour trip I only got one hook up on a bass on a Senko that came unhooked. Thats about it. Didn't see one striper. I cant believer the water level. Unbelieveble. I have pics, but havent uploaded them yet. But I soon will. I still ow my last report some pics as well  :smt003.

It's beautiful there!    Where did you put in and come out?   All those bass and blue gill would be lots of fun with poppers on a fly rod.

I took my canoe down a section of the Stan starting from KnightsFerry down to some park with a dam.   I just loved it, except for the part where the canoe crashed into some boulders and got swamped in the current.

Been itching to go back down the Stan by kayak but would like to avoid that narrow boulder patch and fast section.
