Just a reminder,
This will be the last chance to enter the drawing for the New Ocean Kayaks Trident 13 Angler complete with;
Scotty Rod Holders, Humminbird FF, Lowrance GPS, Extrasport PFD, Uniden VHF, Carlile Paddle, Scotty Safety Light, Scotty Throw Rope, Scotty Safety Whistle, and poss. more to come.

This is on top of all the winnings for the Bass Lake event which should be generous as I'm cleaning out the prize vault to make room for next years event's

This event will be as scheduled for September 20, 2009 RAIN or SHINE.
Some Lucky winner will take home a compleat package worth over $2,000.00.

All participants from the 2009 F.W. event's have a chance to win the Kayak package and do not need to be present to win. However this Prize will have to be picked up at the Fresno Fisherman's Warehouse location within 30 days or it will be re raffled off to another participant.

I will start the roll call for this event after Davenport II.

Thank you all for making these event's a great success and
Good luck to all those who have participated this year.

Hey Eric,

I'm pretty sure I can make this, but I've never been there.

Easy enough to google, but is there a particular campground or area that we need to know about to make arrangements? Assuming the roads are friendly we'll probably drag our 5th  wheel up there for the weekend so I'd like to reserve something.

Thanks

Ben

Hi Eric:

I had a wonderfully time at Dav. and will make it to Bass Lake.
I have never fish for LandLocked Salmon. Anyone care to give some Intel on Tackle. I have some Salt Salmon gear getting rusty. :smt044

ernie, i think saltwater salmon gear may be a little bit of overkill, considering that kokanee average from 12-15" long and you do not want to horse them since you might pull the hook out of their soft mouths.

this time of year the kokes will start to turn color a little bit and develop a hookjaw.  trolling is generally the best way to find them, with downriggers.  if you can find a large school of them you may be able to jig them up with small crappie jigs tipped with white corn.

bass lake also holds a decent trout (rainbows and the occasional brown) as well as some bass.

Trout and kokanee I believe although it may just be kokanee.  Eric will clarify for sure.

Hi Yakers:

I need to swap some Salt Salmon Gear for inland Gear for Bass,
Trout and kokanee . I have a Ugly Stick that I was going to Mooch with and
some RSK,  2Lbs. BalI don't use anymore.
                                                                              Thanks
