Completed my first 3 trips with my kayaks. First time out was a shakedown cruise with my son on a reservoir. Everything worked great and we caught and released some giant sunfish :smt002. Second trip out my wife and I launched from the Antioch city marina. The boat traffic was annoying but we found a side slough that was perfectly calm. Caught about 15 stripers. All too small to keep (biggest was 14 inches) but a ton of fun on light tackle. Third trip took my son out from Otter Cove in Pacific Grove. Caught 11 rockfish, kept 9. Very tasty. So far so good!

Congrats!! So trip #4 is ab diving and trip #5 is spearing vermillion?  You're on your way fast.  Plenty of guys spend years on freshwater before they're comfortable enough to head out to big blue.  You're progressing quickly!
