Here's what it looked like at Stone Lagoon here in Humboldt County this morning heading back to the boat launch.

The picture is a panorama of six shots taken this morning from the kayak.  The lagoon had broken through to the ocean late this year which doesn't bode well for a load of new steelhead.  It sealed up in the last week so I managed not to get caught up in an outgoing tide like last week.  I did manage to run aground a couple of times within a quarter mile of the breach area.

Didn't get skunked today.  Caught a half-pounder on a #10 black leech.

That's it this week from Humboldt, Hal

I was on Big Lagoon last September. I only had a few hours to fish, then.
I'm coming back this September for a week.
Why Do I paddle a kayak instead of a float tube or a pontoon boat? I like seeing where I'm going not where I've been!
Paddle safe and wrap'em tight.
