Great place to camp and yak fish. Very calm launch and great hiking, cleaning table and fish. Anita and me went out tandem saerday, using hex jigs and caught tons of rocks released all but 4 big black and blues, dinner for the weekend. Tacos on sat and saute on sun.
Sunday I went out alone at 9 and the wind kicked it up big time by 10, I stuck it out for 1 more hour and called it quits.
Chuck/Element and Michelle paid a visit on sunday for a hike along the coast to stillwater, wild seas.
How about that thresher shark John caught? Damn...

Ben, thanks for the report.  Did you take any pictures of the campsite or beach there???  It would be cool to see that for future reference.  JTF..

John, it's a great place to camp, fish and dive. Private owned, no reservations, lot's of room except on holidays, minus tide weekends and when it's 100+ in the central valley. Arrive Sunday/Monday and the place is empty. On Wed., Thurs. it starts to fill again. I spent a week there last summer. Stillwater is the next cove south. Sites vary from exposed bluff sites to beautiful sites tucked in the rocks and trees. Launching is free if you wheel your yak down the road for the PB launch. Two coin operated showers (gun barrel blue structure) near the launch site and cleaning station shown in the picture.

It would be a great place to make a group reservation and have a MBF tourney.

The landing, to the right, is down a dirt grade, free for non-vehicle use for now... zero waves.

This is just outside, facing south, stillwater is a mile or two, Girstle cove to the north. If the water is too big, there are killer trails all along the coast and inland.
