We have just returned from Puerto Vallarta- Fished from two Prowler 13's just off pta de mita.  Caught rockfish that the locals called mariguana- not marijuana, but with a g.  most were 1-1/2 pounds, dark colored, from 30-60feet of water on fishtraps.  Anyone know the real name of this fish.  Sorry no pictures, waterproof camera wasn't

That's the one!  Largest was just under 2 pounds.  Fishing over rocky reef with big hammers and fishtraps. As soon as the plastic started bouncing the bottom it was fish on!  Thanks for the photo
