Wow what a send off. Special thanks to the organizers and Joel's family. Sometimes we forget how really special the NCKA family is. Today as I sat at the potluck and looked around, it was amazing how many fine people I have met in the last 7 years and consider to be good friends and my family. So the spirit of Joel lives on in all of us. Thanks also to Bill for making the trip from Texas and Paul Lebowitz for making the trip from S.D. You guys are class acts. Molly really liked Joel and has been a little blue since his passing. Funny how dogs understand these things. Anyway, she was there to say good bye and is home taking a long nap with a smile on her face. Life is good.

Was a great day to pay respect to our brother.

Joel was truly the best of the best of all of us. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

The waters were covered with scores of fishing kayaks, rose petals, sinking abalone shells [with messages to Joel], & a few banana peels......

Sailing back to the harbor in silence. Thanks for the wind Joel.
