I finally put a couple of hatches on my Malibu II and now I am wondering how to keep items from sliding around inside of the hull?  I would like to put a small basket or bag inside the hull just below the hatch but I think it would slide all over the hull and be out of reach at least while I am on the water.  Is there anything I could attach items to inside of the hull?

Have a look at some of the things I did when I rigged my Malibu II last winter... might give you some ideas.

Erik, I like your idea of mounting hardware inside your hull with Goop, but I'm curious to know how has it held up so far with it under tension from the bungee cord.

Thanks for the advice Eric.  As ChuckE hit on, I was concerned about the marine goop holding up under tension, over time and extreme valley heat.  Have your gooped connections lasted through the season?  I think you installed those last winter, so if they at least lasted one summer I would be willing to try that, but I am still considering all options at this point.

They're holding just fine.  I prepare the surface by scuffing with like 60 grit sandpaper and wiping clean with denatured alcohol before gooping.

The bungee cords really don't get too much stress on them... just keep things from sliding back and forth.  So I expect them to hold for a long time.
