I was going to sign up.  I was suppose to have my left knee 'scoped today but it was pushed back till 6/25.  I'm not sure two weeks will be enough time for it to heal up and play in the surf.

Pete

If you need a bit more time to heal I'll keep in touch for updates on future class dates. If this goes as planned I'm sure we can do this again.Get well soon.

D'oh! Was lookin' forward to this, but I come back from Baja on the 10th and will probably be too wiped out to make it.

If all goes well and you have another class then I'm definitely in!

Take lots of pics!

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

I too was looking forward to this, but it looks like I picked up a Saturday class at the college for summer quarter so I won't be making it coastside on any Saturdays this summer.  :smt009  On the bright side I will be making close to my usual quarterly salary; something that doesn't happen often in summer.  If you do the next class on a Sunday let me know!
You don't quit playing because you get old, you get old because you quit playing...

Still a few spots available...I'd like to keep this first class NCKA and kin only.

FYI, Plan on bringing a light lunch. We will have a working lunch and talk hypothermia, cold shock and dressing for immersion. We will also be doing the surf portion immediately following lunch, so you don't want to be super full.If you want to grill man dogs we can do it after the class if you want.

Im returning from Baja as well but considering this.
Is it actual instruction on surfing waves?
Im self taught and really could use some pointers from the pros.
prefer the Kaos but I enjoy surfing the barges too.

Yep, We just got a new Kaos in at MBK, it has the Dagger decal on it now.Dagger and WS are both under Confluence.

Side-surfing a T13 is fun too.Just started rocking the thigh braces.

I'm on the fence about this one Aaron---same day as my company's annual picnic! Just my luck, but I'll try to figure something out.

Just to clarify... we won't be paddling surf boats such as the Kaos for the class. The idea is to learn how to launch, land and side surf fishing kayaks. We will get some practice in the surf, but this is not a "surfing" class.MBK does offer surfing classes on Kaos on other dates if you're interested.

I hear you brother...that's why I disappear from the board and leave the fish alone for days at a time. :smt010

Whew...off the hook. Terry had me seriously considering it...but I have a feeling I'm gonna be spent after the Baja trip.

hi all,
just signed up for the 9th slot..
I am a newbie to yaks.. I will be bringing my malibu II unless you think I should demo a t140 or something else...but my thoughts are that  I can't afford/ fit in another boat so I might as well learn the characteristics of my own boat...any thoughts???

what the hell is bracing anyway...?

I am planning on making a run to Lees sandwiches in Hayward on the way down. Anybody want a vietnamese combo sandwich..?
