Hello fellow kayakers.....I have been kayak fishing the coast the past 3 years and since I live in Redding I only make it over 4 or 5 times a year...so I love reading about everyone's kayak adventures!  I did have a great trip out of Makerriker in August...catching a pb cabezon ..close to 10 lbs....also saw a whale  feeding only 30yds from me...what a thrill...met a local that gave me some points  on shore to triangulate and that was the meal ticket...we fished for 2  hours and  had a great time. Caught links and a variety of other rockfish ....I did see him catch 3 10-15 lb  salmon on a Ling diamond jig....of course it was closed....maybe next spring.
