Hello men I am a life long fisherman of california, I usually fish from my tin boat or inflatable anywhere from the Marin coast to pt arena.I love lake almanor, and have fished it for over 25 years and have a place to stay on the penninsula.I just got a house above anchor bay campground and want to start kayaking out of there.I do recognize a few names hear.first thing will be finding a decent used kayak hopefully hear.I have been a kayaker on fresh water for years growing up on the russian river but with the beach launch at anchor bay its time for a ocean kayak.I will probably ask some questions you have all heard before but bare with me for a bit and I will be in the groove soon.Anyone got any good info to share on anchor bay? Probably see some of you along the coast this spring.  Glenn--tinfisherman

Welcome! A few of us have been talking about hitting up Anchor Bay when the rockfish season opens back up. Post a hook up in the hook up section and I'm sure you'll get some company up there!

Welcome aboard Glenn. I am thinking about reducing my kayak fleet. PM me if you are interested and I will send you the list.

Right on Glenn! Tons of good info on here about different kayaks to help make a decision which one is right for you. Checkout the Choosing a Kayak section & Kayak MFGs section for sure.
Speaking of Almanor...checkout Clayman's reports.

Welcome Glenn! If you have any questions about any Ocean Kayak models I would be glad to try and help you out.. Where do you usually live? I mean it sounds like you got your spots dialed to some great fishing areas. Love southern mendo coast. We fish up just a bit from you. I live in Petaluma. :Lets try to get you on some boats and see what fits. Craig
