Title: Kayak fly fishing for spotties
Post by: Mash on October 17, 2017, 11:01:38 PM
Got tired of getting skunked in Santa Cruz lately so I went down and did some fly fishing with my brother in San Diego. Stripping clousers and little sculpin heads with rabbit fur. Probably landed 30 spotted bass, a black croaker, mackerel and a bat ray. On a 4wt rod that was a lot of fun!

Here are some photos from the trip.

I love fishing down south.  If your lucky, you can get a bonefish in San Diego Bay.  I have yet to get one, but they are there.

I'd love to see that bat ray coming in on that light a setup!
