Title: Any NCKA Car Dealer Connection?
Post by: Darius (Burong Isda) on February 10, 2015, 11:14:28 AM
Been Searching for car USED of course low mileage nothing over 100K.

Car preference: (I would love Subaru OB) but family first.

Honda Pilot 4wd 3rd Row
Toyota Highlander 4wd 3rd Row
Ford Expolorer 4wd 3rd Row

Yes Third Row is a MUST.

Craigslist is frustrating, you find what you looking for but when you call they will tell you its just got sold BS I say. Then they will try to get your contact info and start sending you what you already know and not looking for.

THANKS

Can't help with any connections but......I'd opt for the highlander.

I helped my sister buy hers about 3 years ago.  Test drove all the small suv's. None of the others came close in ride comfort and internal space.  She bought a 2 year old, factory certified vehicle that the dealer used as a rental. Aside from the oil filter being in a hard to reach spot, its been flawless.

Carmax was good for me when I bought my truck. I saved 5k buying from them vs a dealer in Santa Rosa

Don't go to Marin Mazda Subaru. A bunch of shysters over there.
Personally I wish I'd gone the craigslist route and bought one straight from an owner.

I've also been looking for a used car. I'm really wanting a 3rd generation 4Runner. 4wd is sweet but definately not necessary. If it is a 4wd that you find for me please make sure it has a locker in the rear. I'm not a huge fan of red, love the black pearl logos. 2wd is cool Hopefully around 100,000 miles. I don't like the prices people charge for their used 4runners so if u can get the price down for me that would be cools. I'm hoping some one on here has a super good price on one or knows a dude who is willing to let one for cheap. I have also been on Craigslist but don't exactly love what I'm looking at, people think they are sitting on a gold mine. So get on it guys. Report back to me when u find a great truck at a good price. Thanks  :smt002

I worked for Honda for approx. 10 yrs. I still have connections in the concord area. My first advice, go drive the cars u are looking at and then decide what you want. Also from private buyers be carefull about the bodywork that's been done & the paint job. I see cars that looked like Stevie Wonder painted. As you know Honda and Toyota hold their resale value and there is a reason for it, they're good cars!

You arw gonna get better prices if you go Inland. Look around Sacramento.  I have a connection at Victory Toyota in Monterey. I just bought a 2011 Toyota Venza there. Talk to Tom Ortega in sales and Bill Carroll in Finance.
