Albion Urchin removal event July 21st & 22nd help needed for top side kayak supo

Hey we are in need of people to help with kayak support for the Divers transporting the Divers urchins to the main boats so they don’t have to swim back and forth. At the upcoming July urchin removal event at Albion on July 21st and 22nd. We will have some extra kayaks to loan if needed. We need this help to make the process more efficient and safe. Also we will be doing another Fundraiser raffle and we are once again looking for donations for the raffle table. So if anyone knows a company or individual that wants to donate get in touch with Josh Russo or Tino Bernazzani or myself the proceeds from this send event will be given to Watermens Alliance to pay for commercial diver to work the Mendo coast



to recap the event for those that may not know or heard about it. 

The second recreational urchin removal event put on by the Watermens Alliance is July 21st and 22nd 8am 2018 at Albion Campground. Recreational divers will help protect the kelp by removing as many purple urchin as possible over these two days. We will have kayaks to lend or space on boats for divers that need it.

At the first Urchin removal event at Ocean cove was a success !!! over 2 days 56,000 urchins removed over 7,000 pounds were removed from ocean cove and raiser $13,645 dollars that was Given to Sonoma county abalone network to pay for commercial urchin diver to work the sonma coast.

You know I'll be there! But we need MORE KAYAKERS!
