Hi there,

I am looking to fish Clear Lake in the next weeks (Bass). Since I am very interested in the Hobie Pro Angler 14, I was wondering if there is a place that is renting Hobies out on Clear Lake.

My research has not provided any results unfortunately. Maybe you guys know something?

Thanks!

I'm not aware of any shops up there that rent Hobies, but I bet you could find someone on here who has a PA they'd let you try out some time.

Are you mostly a freshwater fisherman, or do you venture out in the salt?

Check with Pacific Outfitters in Ukiah or PM One F to see if they have a rental available there.

I am mostly a freshwater fisherman but would want to use the yak in inshore as well (since I live in Sausalito) ;)

Check with Pacific Outfitters in Ukiah or PM One F to see if they have a rental available there.

I reached out to Pacific Outfitters - no reply so far. Will PM "One F'.

Thanks for your help guys!

Right on. The reason I ask is that the PA14 (IMHO) is not the best choice for situations where you don't have a launch ramp. Or if you ever plan to fish alone. It's REALLY heavy.
